Mid Developer Fullstack (Sportsbook Team)

Position Overview:
 
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll be part of our Software Development Life Cycle team, focusing on developing our Sports product. Ideally, you have some experience or understanding of sports or sports betting, along with experience in distributed systems and microservices. Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining our sportsbook platform, ensuring it's scalable, reliable, and secure.
 
Our Stack:
 
Our tech stack includes NestJS, Typescript, React, Node, Python, Angular, DynamoDB, Postgres, Redis, Cloudflare, and Docker. While experience with our stack is preferred, we're open to candidates with equivalent experiences, as team fit and personality are equally important.
 
Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our sportsbook platform, covering backend, frontend, and admin applications.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, supporting and coaching others in engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to own the architecture for the sportsbook product.
• Ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Stay updated on sports betting industry trends and technologies.
• Work with Product teams to prioritize and define the product roadmap.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Commercial experience in Typescript & React (or similar).
• Knowledge of Node and Python (or similar).
• Familiarity with relevant design patterns.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Preferred experience in building Web Services, WebAPI & Docker.
• Database experience, including schema design and SQL.
• Expertise in performance optimization.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Proficient with GitHub for source control.
• Experience working in an Agile or Kanban environment.
• Knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn and develop new skills.
• Team player with a passion for collaboration.
• Interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Availability for releases and/or out-of-hours on-call as needed.
• Experience in the gaming industry is a significant advantage.
