Head of Engineering - Web3 Gaming

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Engineering to lead our talented engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our Web3 gaming projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of our products while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
 
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for our Web3 gaming projects.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Oversee all aspects of the engineering process, from architecture and design to development and deployment.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our gaming platform and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Product and other stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals and market trends.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Web3 and gaming technologies, integrating relevant innovations into our products.
• Hands-on involvement in coding, debugging, and optimizing critical components of our platform.
• Drive best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and growing engineering teams, with a track record of delivering successful projects in the Web3 and gaming sectors.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills, with proficiency in blockchain technologies and game development.
• In-depth knowledge of smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain protocols.
• Experience working in GameFi or similar blockchain gaming projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on scalable and secure solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
