Crypto Trading Analyst – Singapore

The Role
The Trading Desk plays a critical role in overseeing real-time trading across all strategies, working closely with risk managers, senior management, researchers, software developers, systems engineers, external counterparties, and clients to ensure seamless 24/7 operations. The team actively monitors global events and their impact on markets, taking necessary actions to optimize trading performance.

This is a global team with a presence in multiple financial hubs, including London, Singapore, New York, and Paris. For this role, the company is hiring in Singapore, where you will collaborate with a London-based weekend Crypto Trading Analyst and the local Crypto Trading Analyst.

The position requires working Saturday and Sunday, plus two additional weekdays. The expected work arrangement is remote on weekends and in-office for the two weekday shifts. Working hours are 7 AM – 7 PM on weekends and 8 AM – 6 PM on weekdays, with compensation reflecting a standard five-day workweek.
 
Responsibilities

• Supervise trading strategies and provide first-level support to ensure smooth operations, with a primary focus on crypto trading and exposure to other asset classes as needed.
• Manage risk across a global portfolio spanning multiple asset classes throughout the day.
• Utilize trading metrics and data analysis techniques to enhance decision-making and improve existing strategies.
• Conduct preliminary research on new trading strategies.
• Work closely with quantitative researchers to provide real-time feedback on model performance and optimization.
• Contribute to projects related to the company’s expansion into new markets.
• Collaborate with developers to refine automated monitoring and alerting tools for trading operations.
• Coordinate with brokers, exchanges, trading operations, and back-office teams on trade reconciliation, risk limits, and margin requirements.

 
Essential Attributes

• 1-3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong trading intuition.
• Knowledge and interest in crypto trading and the broader digital asset industry.
• Proficiency in Python (particularly with Pandas for data analysis).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

• Degree from a top university in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.

Interview Process

1. Resume Review – Your application will be assessed by the hiring manager.
2. Home Assignment – If shortlisted, you will complete an assignment testing your knowledge of trading and Python.
3. Interviews – You will meet with members of the Singapore, London, and Paris trading teams, as well as quantitative researchers and senior business leadership. Initial interviews will be conducted via Teams, with the final round taking place onsite in Paris.
4. Assessment Areas – Expect to be tested on mathematics, problem-solving, statistics, trading knowledge, and other relevant skills.
