Lead Backend Engineer - Metaverse Project

The company is looking for a Web Services Lead who will be responsible for working with game teams/security/blockchain/marketplace to create all the web/REST services and infrastructure (e.g. database, login/authentication) to support the company's ecosystem which will be used by games, LiveOps portal, web (user-facing) portal as well as other internal systems.
 
Responsibility:

• Technical ownership of platform architecture and design
• Work with product people to understand and flesh out requirements to implementations
• Design and implement API endpoints for the Aliens API backend in Python/Golang
• Design, develop and execute highly scalable services
• Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
• Participate in the Scrum process as part of the team
• Take part in discussion meetings & provide input on how to solve requirements and build great architecture
• Drive best practices and produce high-quality code
• Maintain and improve existing backend and integration codebases
• Code review PRs and improve the code review process

To succeed in this role, you need to have at least five years of designing back-end architecture.
 
Key Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or its equivalent related experience
• Six years of experience in the development of various complex systems
• Experienced and proficient in working with one of these languages, preferably Golang, Python, JavaScript
• Experienced in high load, high traffic systems
• You enjoy driving things over getting tasks assigned
