Reconciliation & Consolidation Accountant - Metaverse Project

We are looking for a Reconciliation & Consolidation Accountant to manage the intercompany transactions and accounting consolidation as well as contribute to the Finance Department’s data accuracy via the reconciliations activities at the company. You will report to the Chief Accountant.


Responsibilities

• Bridge the Treasury and accounting function by performing reconciliation
• Ensure the accounts in the GL are consistent, accurate, and complete with other reconciliations activities in support of accounting team members
• Research discrepancies and determine the most appropriate methods to correct the found discrepancies
• Coordinate with the non-financial team for inventories reconciliation mechanisms
• Identify automation opportunities
• Identify and describe areas where problems and inefficiencies are systemic in nature; performance deficiencies; and, provide advice and recommendations on methods
• Take ownership of the intercompany activities, including requesting invoices’ issuance to the AR accountant
• Complete the consolidation activities during the monthly closing, including the elimination of intercompany balances and investment in subsidiaries, forex impacts
• Assist in creating and developing efficiencies within the consolidation process
• Ad-hoc requests pertaining to Accounting
• Prepare other reports and participate in other special projects as requested

 
Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• Professional accounting certification (CPA, CA, CMA, etc.) is a plus
• 5+ years minimum of experience, including 2+ years in a consolidation role
• Experience in big 4 is a plus
• Experienced in multi-country – multi entities accounting is mandatory
• At ease with SOPs creation and management
• IFRS knowledge
• Ability to identify errors, and root cause analysis.
• Team player with the ability to work with multiple parties
• Detail-oriented
• Continuous learner, aware of best practices and trends
• Self-motivated
• Can-do attitude
• Great communication skills
• Know how to multitask and prioritize
• Work in a remote and globally distributed team
• Perform under time constraints and meet deadlines
